Sodexo (MUSC) Graduates Students from the Culinary Foundation

“Fat Tax” to Help Fight Childhood Obesity

The MUSC STOP Lite Vending program is being piloted in the vending machines at the entrance to the MUSC cafeteria.  Red, Yellow, and Green labels help the consumer know which snacks to avoid (red), which snacks to choose occasionally, and which snacks are healthier choices (green).  A 5 cent surcharge has been added to the “red” labeled items which will be used to fund MUSC’s children’s obesity program Heart Health.

Seinsheimer Cardiovascular Health Program (SCHP) Opens!

A  new  cardiovascular health program opened in September at  Ashley River Tower.  The center offers comprehensive cardiovascular exams, nutrition assessments, counseling, rehabilitation, weight management and exercise.  To Learn More
