Children's Rehabilitative Services Children's Rehabilitative Services (CRS) is a health care program that offers medical evaluation and treatment to children with special health care needs. Children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities are helped by CRS. Federal and state governments fund CRS. Care is provided in specialty clinics and in physicians' offices. To participate in the CRS program, a child must: - Be a legal resident of the United States
- Live in South Carolina
- Be less than 21 years old
- Have a condition covered by the program
- Meet certain family income guidelines
Financial Eligibility CRS will decide if your child is eligible for services by looking at family size and combined family gross income. Medicaid benefits, health insurance, and program funds are used to pay for services. If a patient meets the requirements for Medicaid, an application must be completed before CRS treatment can start. Call your county health department to apply for services. |
